West Orchards Dinosaurs
The dinosaurs have escaped, and we need YOUR help to find them, along with a special golden egg. Head to West Orchards Shopping Centre this summer.
The Trail will launch on Saturday 13th July with a roarsome fossil dig, the opportunity to meet a baby dinosaur, along with FREE face painting and other dinosaur activities going on through West Orchards. Use your fantastic discovery skills to find the golden egg and be in with a chance to win £100!
The Dino Trail will run until Sunday 8th September with pop up FREE activities on Wednesdays throughout the summer holidays:

St Mary’s Guildhall
Join the team throughout the summer holidays for family friendly activities such as a children’s trail and summer themed crafts. On Tuesdays visit the medieval kitchen to explore live demonstrations and find out the fascinating world of Tudor medicine and food.
On Friday 2nd August, don’t miss the special birds of prey talk. Get up close and personal with up to 6 birds of prey in the Great Hall and learn about their historical significance as symbols of power, wealth, and royalty.
Let There Be Dragons! Celebrate the bank holiday on Monday, 26th August, with an exciting new family friendly immersive dragon experience. Join a valiant Dragon Trainer as they take you on a never-seen-before journey through the Guildhall’s legendary past. Hear valiant tales, learn what it takes to become a dragon tamer, and meet some legendary friends.

Belgrade Theatre
Peppa Pig is back in her oinktastic brand new live show, Fun Day Out at the Belgrade this summer!

Dippy at Herbert
Visit Dippy the world-famous dino-star in Coventry, a life-size replica of a Diplodocus carnegii skeleton – a 26 metre-long dinosaur that lived 155-145 million years ago. Discover fun facts about Dippy, the Nation’s favourite dinosaur from the Natural History Museum, along with close encounters with fossils. The Learning Team will share a short, interactive talk with visitors, aimed at families, but all are welcome. Standing at the feet of this 26-foot Diplodocus, you will learn more about Dippy and get hands-on with some of the fossils from the Herbert’s natural history collection.
Jurassic Playground – The Herbert’s popular FREE early year’s exhibition for families will be returning this summer with Jurassic Playground. Taking inspiration from Dippy, younger visitors will encounter specially designed art works in a world of sensory spaces, that will encourage imaginations and allow children the freedom to explore in a space designed specifically for under 5s. Older children are welcome to join in too, as this is an inclusive family experience.
Joyful Jurassic Crafts – celebrate nature and making as explored in the ‘JOY’ exhibition. Join an adventure of rewilding and reconnecting with natural Jurassic environments, exploring fossils, and sowing ideas of greening to craft our way through the summer holidays. Coventry’s much-loved Sports Fest event is set to return with six days of free activities this summer.Visit Broadgate from Tuesday 6 August – Sunday 11 August from 10am – 4pm each day.
As always, they’ll be a wide range of sports and wellbeing activities to try out, suitable for all ages and abilities. Local sports clubs and organisations will be at the event, showcasing their skills and offering opportunities to get involved

The Ballroom Climbing Wall is a dedicated bouldering centre for all abilities in Coventry, a place where anyone aged 5+ can come and give bouldering a go. A very special CoComelon character is coming to visit The Entertainer, in the Lower Precinct, on Saturday 27th July.
