Coventry’s most famous theatre, The Belgrade Theatre, is a fantastic live performance venue. The main stage auditorium can accommodate up to 850 people and the smaller B2 auditorium is a flexible, cutting-edge venue space with a capacity of up to 245 people. However, if you’re looking for something more intimate, there are various flexible meeting rooms that can cater for as few as 8, up to 60 people, perfect for workshops and rehearsals. Telegraph Hotel

The iconic Telegraph building on Corporation Street was home to the city’s newspaper for more than 50 years but now a chic hotel with stunning function rooms and meetings rooms to hire.

The versatile Editors function room can accommodate up to 140 or 120 guests with a dance floor, perfect for conferences dinners, birthday parties. There are also two private rooms – the Boardroom and Directors room – each accommodate up to 12 people for small meetings.

The Boardroom was one of Lord Iliffe’s original meeting rooms and benefits from many of the original features, one of these being the original board room table used in the 1950’s.

Coventry Cathedral

Coventry Cathedral is a Grade I listed building, comprising of medieval ruins and a 1960s architectural masterpiece designed by Basil Spence.  There are a range of spaces available for hire, including the Cathedral Nave and the Ruins of the old Cathedral which was bombed in 1940. This venue can host a variety of events from large scale music concerts and theatrical productions to gala dinners and graduations. There are also smaller spaces for more intimate occasions, such as candlelit concerts, speaker events, meetings, craft workshops and film screenings.

Drapers Hall

Drapers’ Hall is a stunning building situated in the heart of the city’s Cathedral Quarter.  It is Coventry’s finest Regency building, purpose built for the Drapers’ Guild in 1832 with an ornately decorated Ballroom, Tea Room and Reading Room, all available for hire.

Local food and beverage provider Dhillon’s Brewery, can provide bespoke capabilities per event and Drapers’ Hall is also licensed for weddings.

HMV Empire

If you are looking for venue to host a birthday party, baby shower, live music event or large presentation event, look no further than the HMV Empire. Stage 1 has standing capacity for 1100, seated up to 600 people with full production in house, in-house ticketing & marketing and catering available. Stage 2 has standing capacity for 300, 180 seated and is perfect for comedy and live music nights. There is also the Balcony Bar space with capacity for 150 people, ideal for birthday parties and baby showers.
