Coventry Open 2025 aims to showcase local talent and provide selling opportunities for artists. The exhibition celebrates the quality and diversity of art being produced in Coventry and the wider West Midlands region.

Our 2025 exhibition will be the thirteenth Coventry Open.

Following on from the successful addition of a young people’s showcase in 2023, we will also be giving artists aged 15-18 a chance to exhibit their work in a professional gallery setting.

Visual artists working in any medium will be invited to submit images and supporting information about their work via an online submission’s portal.

A £1000 prize will be awarded to one winning entry chosen by the independent judging panel alongside an additional prize for the Young People’s showcase winner.

There will be something for everyone to enjoy and an eclectic mix of artwork that will appeal to visitors of all ages. Including interactive pieces. Past exhibitions have included a wide variety of artworks in different mediums such as: painting, drawing, print, sculpture, photography ceramics, video, sound, textiles, mixed media, installation and much more.

We want Coventry Open to be accessible, welcoming and open to all artists regardless of their background.  We aim to create an inclusive, warm environment and will offer IT and photography support sessions to help those who may not have digital access.  We will also contact local community groups to engage with artists and create an inclusive environment for all.
