“Pyaare Saathiyon: Cultural & Creative Revolutions” workshop

We will explore 70 years of the Indian Workers Association (founded in Coventry in 1938) communicating political resistance through love, solidarity and cultural programming. The workshop will share some of the findings from our ‘1964: Making History’ project. The project collaborated with students to look at the various archives of their iconic anti-racist histories. In this session we shall concentrate on the art and cultural work of the IWA, exploring posters and the legacies of cultural performances.
