West Orchards Dinosaurs
Jurassic chaos has erupted! The dinosaurs have escaped and are roaming around Coventry! West Orchards need YOUR help to find them!
Are you up for the challenge? Join West Orchards between Saturday 22nd July and Sunday 10th September, grab a Dino Trail Passport and hunt them down for the chance to be entered into a competition to win £100.
The Dino Trail launches on Saturday 22nd July, the team at West Orchards have some very special guests joining explorers between 11am-2pm so pop down to join in the fun.

St Mary’s Guildhall
Join the team for music and merriment during the school summer holidays at St Mary’s Guildhall.
On Wednesdays throughout the holidays children can join Jester School and learn the skills needed to entertain a Tudor King or Queen with hands on activities such as juggling, hula hooping and plate spinning!
Tudor Living History sessions will also be held in the medieval kitchen every Tuesday and Thursday throughout the summer school holidays including music, Tudor games and dancing.

Belgrade Theatre
Large in size and keen in nature, Zog is eager to win a golden star at Madam Dragon’s school, where dragons learn all the things that dragons need to know.
Zog tries so very hard, perhaps too hard, and he bumps, burns and roars his way through years one, two and three. Luckily, the plucky Princess Pearl patches him up ready to face his biggest challenge yet… a duel with knight, Sir Gadabout the Great!
The smash-hit stage adaptation from Freckle Productions (the team behind Zog and the Flying Doctors and Stick Man) is back at The Belgrade Theatre and promises to be bigger, brighter and more roar-some than ever before! With lively songs from Joe Stilgoe and directed by Emma Kilbey, Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler’s much-loved Zog is a magical production for all ages.

Belgrade Plaza
There’ll be fun to be had at Belgrade Plaza over the Summer with the team putting on some FREE Children’s Craft Workshops. These will be running on 22nd and 23rd August, so why not drop by anytime between 11am – 4pm (no pre-booking required).
Our Summer HQ will be located in a marquee on the grass area outside the theatre. This summer they’ll be off to the seaside – creating some lovely sea inspired crafts. So, bring your little ones along to join in with the fun!
PLUS, pick up a colouring sheet on the day to enter our competition for a chance to win a tasty food voucher for one of our restaurants.
Dippy at Herbert
Meet Dippy the world-famous dino-star in Coventry as it takes up residence at the Herbert Art Gallery & Museum.
Dippy the dinosaur is a life-size replica of a Diplodocus carnegii skeleton – a 26 metre-long dinosaur that lived 155-145 million years ago. For over 100 years, Dippy has been delighting visitors of all ages at the Natural History Museum in London, and now Coventry families have the chance to discover the Jurassic giant on their doorstep.

SportsFest
Sports Fest the FREE six-day event will be back in Broadgate from Tuesday 25 July – Sunday 30 July.
As always, Sports Fest will feature a wide range of sports and wellbeing activities that are suitable for all ages and abilities.
Sports Fest falls perfectly in the summer holidays, with activities running from 10am – 4pm each day in Coventry city centre.
Local sports clubs and organisations will be at the event, showcasing their skills and offering opportunities to get involved along with National Governing Bodies.
Cheerleading, judo, rugby, table tennis and goal ball are all on the sporty schedule for the week.

The Ballroom Climbing Wall is a dedicated bouldering centre for all abilities in Coventry, a place where anyone aged 5+ can come and give bouldering a go.
The team take pride in the fact we have over 200 bouldering routes across 700sqm of climbing surface, created by the country’s best climbers and setters.
Climbing is growing in popularity with kids, it is a great way to make family memories, new friends, exercise, gain confidence and generally have a great time.
The Ballroom Climbing Wall offers supervised climbing for kids as young as 5. Anyone under the age of 18 will need to have an adult supervisor (18+).

Fargo Village – Teach Rex
Teach Rex is coming back to The Box at FarGo Village!
After receiving over 2000 5* reviews for their events and selling out The Box @ Fargo Village three previous times, the award winning Teach Rex team are delighted to be bringing this unique, interactive show back to the families of Coventry on the first week of the summer holidays!
Teach Rex uses life-like dinosaurs to perform their 1-hour show, teaching children about the anatomy and life of one the most mesmerizing creatures that have ever roamed our planet. The show is teamed with effects, music and gives children and their families the chance to get up close and personal with these fantastic, realistic beasts.
Children will be greeted by baby dinosaurs and given a ‘Dino Booklet’ which includes a variety of educational activities. You will also be provided with coloured crayons, all that is included in the price of a ticket, in this educational experience delivered by teachers.
The new show will delve into the jaws of one of the most iconic dinosaurs to ever roam the world, the TREX! Delivered by primary school teachers, the team will take the audience on an interactive, prehistoric journey, pinpointing misconceptions surrounding the velociraptor and the audience will learn how this iconic beast would have actually looked. Meet various TREXS and a velociraptor, giving the audience a realistic insight into these fascinating creatures.
The show is suitable for children of all ages (3+ recommended) and has even proven to be extremely popular with adults. The educational part of the show runs for approximately 45 minutes followed by a dinosaur meet and greet when families can get photographs next to the beasts whilst enjoying a dance.

Lower Precinct Space Science
Join the Lower Precinct in Summer holidays for a Summer of space science fun! Every Saturday throughout August from 11am until 3pm, enjoy a fun-filled day of activities and experiments.
Saturday 5th August – Come along to ‘Professor Zoom’s Laboratory’, where you can be a boffin and explore science fun in a hands-on workshop.
Saturday 12th August – Join us in our eco-friendly science themed workshop, where your little ones can get in tune with their inner artistic self.
Saturday 19th August – Take part in the Lower Precinct food laboratory workshop, where the aim is to extend children’s understanding of kitchen science with fun experiments (whilst of course wearing a lab coat and goggles).
Saturday 26th August – Join Madam Moon in the Star Laboratory, where your little ones can take on star scrabble and a DIY rocket launch, just to name a few.
Just as a parent reminder, some of the activities can be messy!
Star Pupil Awards
The Lower Precinct believe that every school year is filled with extraordinary individuals who deserve to be recognised for their achievements and contributions. The Star Pupil Awards are aimed at honouring those outstanding students who have gone above and beyond during the 2022-2023 academic year.
The categories are:
Top of the Class 22-23 – Do you know a student who shines and sets an example for their peers?
Rising Star Award 22-23 – Have you witnessed someone who has put their heart and soul into achieving something special this year?
Buddy Award 22-23 – Have you come across a student who constantly looks out for others, putting their classmates’ well-being and needs before their own?
